Grown from the AI industry — before it was even a buzzword
Cormorant was founded by the people who created automatic number-plate recognition technology for police forces around the world. Thirty years ago we built AI image-recognition software that analysed video in real time on the standard computer hardware of the day — helping found the multi-million-pound industry it has become.
Today those same skills power MET-Grid: the tracking and identification platform behind car parks, marinas, golf courses, daycare facilities and secure sites.
